Bowbrook Archers

About Bow Brook Archers

The club was formed in 1984 and is based on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.

We are a small informal club with a membership of about fifty (Junior & Senior). While we take part in a number of formal competition shoots during the year, our main aim is to have fun and enjoy our shooting. In addition to target shooting we shoot clout several times a year and have a small practice field course in a nearby wood.

The club’s shooting ground during the summer months (April to September) is at the Shrewsbury RUFC club to the east of Shrewsbury near Haughmond Hill on the B5062. Club practice night is on Wednesday evening. However, members have 7 day access to the Rugby Club grounds and can shoot at any other time provided basic safety precautions are followed. Indoor shooting during the winter months (October to March) is currently at Sundorne School, Shrewsbury on Monday and alternate Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The location of the club can be found by viewing www.streetmap.co.uk (Bowbrook Archers)

Beginners courses are run throughout the summer months whenever there enough people interested.
